Wire Room Associate

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely fulfillment of orders requiring shipment of spools and/or wire.
• Ensure that shipments of wire adhere to safety standards and are cut to order.
• Carry out assigned housekeeping tasks.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to identify products by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Able to read orders and match them on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Certification of power-truck equipment.
• Operate inventory control equipment such as bar-coding equipment and handheld devices.

Physical Requirements

• Able to move and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
• Spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
• May require climbing ladders for top-level selection.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
