Wire, Prep & Paint Shop Staff

About the role

Interstate has been an industry leader since 1995, known for building quality trailers to meet various customer needs. This role supports valued customers by contributing to the high-quality construction process of Interstate trailers.

Responsibilities

• Receive trailer frames from the Weld shop and review accompanying build orders.
• Accurately wire trailer frames according to the build order for any electrical options specified in the standard or custom build order.
• Create passageways for internal wiring using an oxygen and acetylene torch and other general hand tools.
• Use a grinder to knock down weld imperfections and clean surfaces to remove oil or debris before painting.
• Paint and cover visible areas of the trailer using appropriate spraying tools within a paint booth or designated area.
• Attach all necessary components according to the build order (e.g., tail lights, connectors, breakaway battery box).

Requirements

• Uncompromising attention to consistent and exceptional results.
• Some welding experience preferred, but training will be provided.
• Mechanical ability, including working with power tools and yard vehicles.
• A team mindset, willing to help out and improve wherever needed.
• An interest in promoting within the organization.

Qualifications

• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to show up, work hard, and get it done right.

Pay

Capable staff in Kingman can earn over $19 per hour with our group rate incentives.

Schedule

This role operates on a 4-day work schedule, allowing for more personal time.
