Wire Board Assembly Technician, 2nd shift
About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Wire Board Assembly Technician, 2nd shift at its new facility in Greenwood, SC. The hourly rate is $20.00 plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Shifts are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm until 1:30 am and Friday from 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Training will occur on first shift hours during the first 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Assembles, wires, and modifies work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.
- Works to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.
- Fills out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
- Mounts and installs electrical equipment and performs wire operations as needed.
- Regularly lifts and assembles with heavy copper parts.
- Reports shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.
- Inspects all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
- Responds to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
- Affixes to engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
- Trains and coaches colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Skilled in the knowledge and safe use of hand and air tools.
- One year of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Basic Computer Skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
- Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation.
- Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to noise.
- Frequent exposure to dust while performing job duties.
