Brief Description / Position Summary
Yorkville CUSD 115 has an opening for a Winter Play Assistant Director at Yorkville High School for the 2026-2027 School Year.
About the Role
Maintains attendance records for meetings and work days
Facilitates and oversees the schedule
Plans for productions with the (Artistic) Director regarding lights, sound, and set design
Organizes and executes a plan for technical crew responsibilities
Assists with obtaining/building props as needed
Creates safe working spaces for the cast and crew
Trains students to operate equipment safely and appropriately
Maintains equipment and spaces
Works within the given budget and keeps accurate records of the monies used and received
Follows fundraising procedures according to District policies
Recruits student participants each school year
Requests room space for meetings and events
Manages and supervises the use of facilities during activities and events
Confirms the security of the facilities
Ensures that students have a way to get home and remains present until the last student is released
Promotes and publicizes club meetings and events
Maintains positive relationships with students and interacts with students and adults in a respectful manner
Collaborates with administration to maintain the vision of the Strategic Goals and purpose of the club/activity
Uses appropriate channels to resolve concerns and problems
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient functioning of the production
Completes all training and certification required by the District

Qualifications / Skills
- Current Professional Educators License or ASEP certification required
Stipend Range
Assistant Level 6: $3,059 - $5,126 based on experience.
