Crowd Leading
Engaging audiences during games, directing cheers, and enhancing the game-day atmosphere with props like poms and megaphones.
Performance & Skill Execution
Performing choreographed routines, dance, stunts (lifting), and tumbling (gymnastics).
Spirit Raising
Promoting school pride, decorating, attending pep rallies, and supporting other athletic teams.
Training & Safety
Participating in regular, high-intensity practices, maintaining physical fitness, and mastering safety techniques to prevent injuries during stunts.
Community Representation
Serving as a positive role model and ambassador for their school or professional organization.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Athleticism: Exceptional strength, flexibility, coordination, and stamina.
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with partners and coaches.
- Enthusiasm: High energy and a positive attitude.
- Performance Experience: Previous experience in competitive cheerleading or dance is often required.
Key Roles in Stunting
- Flyers: Perform flips and tricks in the air, requiring flexibility and balance.
- Bases: Support and lift flyers, requiring upper body and core strength.
- Spotters: Monitor safety and ensure the safety of the flyer.
Work Environment
Working in high-energy environments, including gymnasiums, and football fields, often working evenings and weekends. You may need to travel.
