Job Title Wine and Spirits Cashier
Responsibilities
- Help guests find what they're looking for, offer recommendations, and take special orders.
- Deliver Great Service Answer questions, resolve concerns, and ensure every guest leaves feeling supported.
- Work alongside associates and leadership to meet department goals and maintain high standards.
- Maintain inventory levels, ensure accurate pricing, and keep shelves stocked and organized.
- Operate the Register Check out purchases with accuracy and a smile.
- Ensure Cleanliness Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
- Communicate & Collaborate Work with vendors, managers, and fellow associates to exceed expectations.
- Honor Committments Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
- Support the Team Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age in order to sample products sold in the wine and spirits department.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies.
- Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises.
- Proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: hand jack, baler, forklift, pallet jack, trash compactor, proper lifting techniques, and proper scanning techniques.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Standing in place for long periods of time; walking in the store; bending, stooping, and kneeling regularly.
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
Work Schedule
The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays within the individual's availability.
