Wine Sales Associate (PT)

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide advice and personalized recommendations to customers on wine and spirits
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests, and product availability questions
• Build long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business
• Support the Wine Store Manager in merchandising, product displays, and maintaining company visual standards
• Absorb appropriate stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing products
• Participate in inventory control, including setting par levels and conducting physical counts
• Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and presentable at all times
• Ship wine products accurately and efficiently
• Serve as a liaison between customers and management in the manager’s absence
• Stay informed on current pricing, promotions, new products, and signage updates
• Cover for the Corporate Customer Service team on client needs and inquiries
• Support special promotions, product demos, and community outreach events as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Knowledge of Wines and Spirits and a desire to learn more
• Minimum 1 years of experience in a wine & spirits store or similar retail/sales role or sommelier experience
• Valid driver's license for deliveries
• Proven ability to work independently and develop repeat clientele
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and professional demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Additional Responsibilities

• Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as scheduled
• Travel to other store locations if required
• Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by senior leadership

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (6h-8h) and lift/carry boxes up to 70 pounds
• Including up and down step stools and ladders
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, basic math, and data analysis)
• Clean Driver's License
