Windows System Administrator
About the role
The Windows System Administrator will support a mission-focused effort at The Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Advanced Research Center (ARC) in Huntsville, AL. This role involves supporting systems in a collaborative defense and technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Support simulated ground test infrastructure and reconfiguration
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and document System Errors and Resolutions
- Install or rebuild existing servers
- Apply DISA STIGs
- Install OS and application patches
- Resolve OS and hardware/software problems
Requirements
- Must possess a current, in-scope Secret security clearance
- BS or higher in related field (or additional 4 years of experience)
- Security+ (or other DoD Instruction 8750.01 Cert) or the ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire
- Windows Certification or the ability to obtain one
- 0-3 years related work experience
- Experience in Windows System Administration
- Experience installing, rebuilding, and configuring Windows Systems
- Willing to learn new things and share existing knowledge with others
- Adaptable to changing requirements
Qualifications
- Experience working in a Department of War (DoW) Environment
- Experience in test and/or MDS
- Familiarity with Windows Domains and RSA
- Experience working in secured spaces
About The ARC
The Advanced Research Center (ARC) is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) facility located in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, AL. It is a Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility designed and operated to support Missile Defense System (MDS) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Ground Test (GT) and Flight Test (FT) activities.
About DTechLogic
DTechLogic is the prime contractor supporting the ARC, which is a joint venture between Davidson Technologies and nLogic that was started in 2018. The DTechLogic ARC Team consists of five contractor teammates in Huntsville, AL. Standard ARC operation hours are 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with some exceptions outside of this window to support test events that require night shift work for some positions.
