Windows/Linux Administrator

We are seeking a Windows & Linux System Administrator to support a company focused on Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network operations and secure defense technology environments for mission-critical government programs. This position is 100% onsite in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows 11 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems within secure environments.
• Develop, execute, and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate system administration tasks.
• Perform infrastructure engineering reviews and provide recommendations for existing and future systems.
• Harden servers in accordance with DISA STIGs, IAVM requirements, and cybersecurity compliance standards.
• Support Ansible automation initiatives, asset management, procurement activities, shipping logistics, and development of SOPs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience administering Windows systems.
• 3+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
• Experience developing and utilizing PowerShell and Bash scripting solutions.
• Experience supporting the IAVM process, including STIG implementation, patch management, and security compliance.
• Experience with Ansible automation and endpoint security preferred.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP).
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Pay

Salary: $115,000 depending on experience.
