About the role
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career-driven, and customer-focused Windows/Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Hanover, MD. You will play a critical role in supporting the enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global, mission-focused workforce. This position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services. As a Windows/Linux Systems Administrator, you will work alongside customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to support the implementation and compliance of advanced EIT capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client/server/network devices.
- Manage IT system infrastructure, configuration, operation, and any processes related to the Windows and Linux systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification and diagnosis.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 10 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator OR five additional years’ experience as a Systems Administrator may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Windows 11.
- Linux experience with Ubuntu or Fedora.
- Networking experience with Juniper.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory including Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services, and Hyper-V.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Must possess and maintain a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco and Dell networking systems.
- Ability to upgrade code on Cisco and Juniper switches.
- Strong Windows and Linux troubleshooting skills with hardware and software issues.
- HP Device Manager (understanding of RMM tools would be sufficient).
- Experience with Splunk, Zabbix, Syslog-ng.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
