Arconic is seeking a Windows Architectural Sales Representative to join our Kawneer business, covering the Mid-West/Western Region. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer relations with large architectural firms, developers, general contractors, and high-profile customers within the sales region.
  • Establish and grow new business opportunities with potential customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Maintain and enhance add-on business with existing customers.
  • Evaluate customer needs, understand market drivers, and ensure appropriate service/product delivery and pricing.
  • Conduct customer visits to build/maintain relationships, deliver sales presentations, and problem-solve customer concerns.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly quota requirements.
  • Participate in key industry organizations (e.g., American Institute of Architects), product training programs, conferences, seminars, and educational forums.
  • Collaborate with Front End teams and all organizational layers to ensure timely and accurate project proposals, proper execution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage technology to increase speed, quality, and efficiencies in delivering customer needs.
  • Stay abreast of Kawneer product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, and industry trends.
  • Articulate features and benefits of all product lines to key buying influences.
  • Analyze new customer opportunities and adjust strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Counsel customers on product selection, application, and installation processes.
  • Read and understand architectural/project construction documents and specifications.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to analyze and resolve field problems.
  • Travel 75%-100% of the time (including overnight), lift up to 50 lbs, and be willing to relocate near the territory.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance (meeting company minimum requirements).
  • Demonstrate results-oriented flexibility, adaptability to multi-task, and prioritize to meet deadlines and sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of outside sales experience in building/construction.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (verification required at hire; visa sponsorship not available).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and technical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and knowledge of sales principles and practices.
  • Commercial building, construction, and/or architectural industry knowledge.
  • Comprehensive computer skills and ability to learn proprietary software (e.g., CRM, Blue Beam).
  • Basic understanding of key financial drivers and their relation to territory and business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous outside sales experience in the commercial building and construction industry.
  • Diverse experience in construction (e.g., customer service, project management, estimating, engineering, inside sales).
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of Kawneer products and services.
