Responsibilities
- Supports enterprise Windows infrastructure for the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) RDT&E network.
- Engages in engineering, implementation, and integration of hardware, software, and configurations.
- Maintains and administers infrastructures, including monitoring performance and identifying potential issues.
- Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures.
- Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.
- Provides architecture guidance and assists with deployment and configuration of Active Directory, DFS, and MECM.
- Troubleshoots and supports DC, DFS, and MECM implementations.
- Provides Tier III support for DC, DFS, and MECM implementations.
- Provides Tier II support as needed for Core Services ticket management.
- Analyzes customer requirements and identifies security needs, risks, and recommended solutions.
- Utilizes PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and support server maintenance.
- Maintains Windows STIG compliance using EvalSTIG.
Qualifications
- Active Top-Secret Clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Experience administering Windows Server environments.
- Strong experience with Active Directory and DFS.
- Experience supporting or administering MECM.
- Experience providing Tier III support in enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of Windows STIGs and EvalSTIG.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a government customer environment.
Desired Certifications / Training
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) Training (23 hours or equivalent).
- Windows Server 2019 or 2022 training.
- Windows 11 administration training.
