Responsibilities
- Conduct precise on-site measurements for custom window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and curtains.
- Install window treatments using hand tools, power tools, and mounting hardware, adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, such as uneven fittings or mechanical adjustments.
- Provide clear explanations to customers about product features, care instructions, and warranty details.
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and tools, and complete job documentation (e.g., photos, checklists) for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with the sales and design team to ensure installations align with client specifications.
- Occasionally assist with inventory management and basic repairs in our warehouse.
- Manage the in-store displays and update as needed.
- Assist customers in the showroom.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in window treatment installation, carpentry, or a related trade.
- Familiarity and expertise with Hunter Douglas products is preferred.
- Proficiency with tools like drills, levels, ladders, and measuring devices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (company vehicle provided for consultations and installations).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights (e.g., using ladders or scaffolding).
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification a plus.
- Background check required.
- Must be friendly, a team player, and a self-starter.
