About the role
Perform in-home measurements and installations of custom window treatments, including roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery, wooden blinds, and motorized products. Provide a world-class customer experience during each appointment, demonstrate product use, and ensure accuracy using The Shade Store’s Measure + Install techniques and software systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-home measurements and installations of custom window treatment product lines, primarily roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery, and wooden blinds
- Learn motorization installation and programming techniques, particularly via Lutron, for complex motorized products
- Provide a world-class customer experience throughout each measure and install appointment
- Demonstrate product use to leave a positive, lasting impression with customers
- Use The Shade Store’s Measure + Install techniques and software systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with a growing network of Measure + Install professionals and local Design Consultants for a seamless customer experience
- Communicate regularly with Headquarters Measure & Install support teams while in the field
- Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to measurement and installation challenges
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in carpentry, custom installation, or a transferable skilled trade
- Significant experience with hand and power tools, including power drill, impact driver, and level
- Experience with multiple types of fasteners, anchors, and drill bits
- Proven ability to measure accurately within 1/8” using manual and laser measurers
- Customer service and in-home service experience preferred
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Punctual, reliable, and possesses a strong work ethic and integrity
- Strong understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
- Active driver’s license and insurable
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb ladders up to 26’ in height

Pay
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus eligibility for monthly individual incentives.
