Job Responsibilities
- Develop new client accounts for company through cold calls, working potential customer lists that include architects, trade organizations, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers.
- Consultation with customers providing solutions for their projects.
- Capture new business through networking, referrals, and face-to-face meetings.
- Continually strive for 100% satisfaction with clients.
- Prepare estimates for specific projects, provide product recommendations and solutions for the customer.
- Responsible for all sales merchandising, technical information, customer product knowledge, and evaluating the area's market needs and business conditions in your territory.
- Manage customer account receivables.
- Attend monthly sales meeting.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and own reliable vehicle
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, written, sales and Customer Service skills are necessary
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Superior time-management and organization skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Previous building material sales experience (not required)
- Knowledge of building materials products highly desirable
- Ability to operate computer equipment and applicable programs is required
