Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Lives the Owens Corning Safety Standard “Safer Together” and meets all safety requirements.
- Notifies supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss or on-the-job injury.
- Participates in safety, quality, autonomous maintenance (AM), TPM, and housekeeping programs.
- Reduces environmental impact and complies with environmental regulations and recycling procedures.
- Communicates safety concerns and equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
- Performs cleanup duties at workstations and equipment/machinery.
- Inspects vehicles and PIV equipment before use and throughout shift.
- Participates in TPM initiatives, completes TPM tasks, and utilizes FI tools.
- Maintains DMS and AM Team Area Activity Boards.
- Performs winder, EDL, and conveyor quality checks and documentation.
- Maintains control panel and adjusts equipment settings.
- Communicates quality control information with plant employees.
- Monitors and reports unusual material issues.
- Communicates with coater end and back-end operators.
- Evaluates finished product for proper weight and thickness.
- Operates winders and packaging machines.
- Operates banding equipment.
- Prints and applies pallet labels.
- Loads and stacks reworked material safely.
- Tracks, manages, and reports scrap and seconds accurately.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains focus on alarms and responds appropriately.
- Aids in web break repairs.
- Supports threading and product changeover procedures.
- Contributes to training and development of team members.
- Identifies and engages in learning opportunities to build expertise.
- Fulfills standard operating procedures and processes.

- Has demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Uses computers to perform basic data entry and demonstrates basic software skills.
- Handles, controls, feeds, or feels objects, tools, or product.
- Becomes certified to operate a forklift (if needed).
- Performs repetitive movements of body, hand, arm, leg.
- Bends, twists, squats, walks, sits, stands; to include waist, back, and knee motion.
- Lifts, pushes, and pulls 40lbs.
Education And/Or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing or process related experience preferred.
