Responsibilities

  • Enhance wind farm operations by implementing improvements in daily tasks.
  • Maintain composure and clear thinking in stressful or hazardous situations to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including: Ladder and stair climbing, Prolonged standing and walking, Lifting, bending, and twisting, Overhead work, pushing, and pulling, Exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Take on additional roles and responsibilities efficiently to support wind farm operations.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration by working effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Approach challenges with determination and adaptability to ensure continued success in a demanding environment.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic field preferred.
  • A College degree or equivalent competency in a field related to the work of a wind farm technician ie: electrical / mechanical systems is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
  • Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations.
  • Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation, ability to analyze and resolve problems independently.
  • Hands on experience working with electrical systems including PLC programming and converters.
  • Traveling (up to 15%) to sites within our district, training facilities in the US, or additional locations is a requirement of the job.
  • Must be eligible to hold a valid Passport and Driver’s License.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
