About the Site

The Forward Wind Energy Center is a 137.85 MW wind power generation facility located in Brownsville, WI utilizing GE 1.5sle turbine technology.

Position Overview

As a Wind Technician you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Forward Wind Energy Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and associated equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean, safe work environment.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one (1) year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds); weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This is a safety‑sensitive position; candidates will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result before employment.

Schedule

Work a 40‑hour week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during peak maintenance periods.

Pay

Base Pay: $29.49 – $49.97 USD hourly.

Bonus: 0 % – 10 % of base pay. The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and skills when determining offers. Eligibility for bonus programs is based on individual and company performance.
