About the role

We are seeking an experienced Wind Substation Superintendent to support utility-scale wind energy projects across Texas and Oklahoma. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with strong potential for extension with a leading renewable energy and utilities owner-operator. This is a site-based role requiring a hands-on field presence, with an expected schedule of up to 60 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction of high-voltage (HV) substations
  • Support the execution of renewable energy projects, with a focus on wind projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in high-voltage (HV) substation construction
  • Strong electrical construction background
  • Experience supporting renewable energy projects, with wind project experience highly preferred
  • Proven ability to oversee field execution, safety, quality, and subcontractor performance

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HV substation construction
  • Experience in managing and supervising teams in a construction environment
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, particularly wind projects
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Pay
