About the role

Our team works with clients to help them plan for the future by providing expert advice in Wills, Estates & Probate, including:

• Asset protection – considering a client’s options and requirements to ensure maximum asset protection for vulnerable persons who may become beneficiaries or receive benefits;
• Business succession planning – assisting clients by examining family structures and testator wishes to achieve relevant results, accounting for state and federal revenue implications;
• Wills and testamentary trusts – preparing simple or complex wills, including wills with testamentary trusts, special disability trusts, handling simple and complex estates, acting for executors and trustees, and advising on estate administration;
• Probate – handling applications for grants of representation (probate and letters of administration) and ensuring compliance with will provisions and legal requirements;
• Estate planning and management;
• Estate and will disputes;
• Powers of attorney – advising on the suitability of proposed powers of attorney and preparing financial, medical, and enduring powers of attorney;
• Guardianship; and
• Part IV applications – advising, instituting, and defending claims against estates.
