Estate and Probate Attorney

We are seeking an estate planning attorney licensed to practice in Illinois to help build our estate planning division.

About the role

You'll oversee complex probate and trust litigation matters while leading and mentoring attorneys and support staff. This role requires advanced legal judgment, strong motion practice and trial experience, and the ability to manage high-stakes matters with precision. The environment is fast-paced but structured. Accuracy, quality, and follow-through are non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the estate planning team
• Oversee full-cycle estate planning cases
• Develop and supervise the estate planning legal team
• Ensure consistent, high-quality client experience
• Collaborate with firm leadership on department growth and improvements

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Illinois
• 5+ years of estate planning experience; probate litigation a plus
• 300+ estate planning cases handled from start to finish
• Proven leadership, project management, and mentoring ability
• Excellent legal writing, research, and courtroom skills
