Wildlife and Exclusion Technician

About the role

At Thomas Pest Services, we are currently hiring a Wildlife and Exclusion Technician who can learn quickly, digest technical information, and thrive working in a team environment. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning technical skills, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting residential and commercial properties
• Identifying wildlife entry points and activity
• Trapping and resolving nuisance wildlife issues
• Performing exclusion work to prevent future infestations
• Completing light carpentry repairs and metal fabrication (using a brake)
• Communicating clearly with customers and teammates
• Utilizing mobile technology for documentation and reporting

Requirements

• This is an entry-level position requiring no prior pest management experience
• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to travel up to one hour from our service area each day, with the ability to return home at the end of every shift
• Ability to work full-time with the potential for overtime during May - September

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working on ladders up to 40 feet
• Must be capable of reaching with hands and arms, climbing on ladders, kneeling, and crawling
• Must be able to work in various climates
