Wildcat Shop Retail Associate

About the Position

Saint Ignatius High School, a highly successful Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Wildcat Shop Retail Associate. The ideal candidate will support the mission of Saint Ignatius High School and the Wildcat Shop by maintaining a best in class customer service experience for the entire Saint Ignatius community, including faculty, staff, students, parents and the general public. The Wildcat Shop Retail Associate reports to the Wildcat Shop Manager and is responsible for supporting the operation of the Wildcat Shop with a focus on customer service, merchandising and monitoring inventory. This is a part time, 14-20 hours per week position with most hours occurring on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30am 3:30pm. Flexibility is required to work evening and weekend events and the work schedule will fluctuate with selling season and inventory needs.

Primary Areas Of Responsibility

• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that focuses on brand experience and customer engagement and satisfaction
• Support the store manager and assistant manager with all Wildcat Shop operations
• Aid in maintaining a clean and organized product floor
• Manage purchases and payment transactions using the Shopify POS system and assist customers with returns and exchanges
• Be a team player, adhere to store policies for customer service and contribute to a positive work environment
• Aid in maintaining an up-to-date inventory through stocking and restocking of merchandise, checking in deliveries and conducting cyclical counts throughout the year
• Able to spend an extended period working in a standing position
• Able to lift/maneuver boxes and carts weighing up to 40 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail experience of 1-2 years minimum
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, generally 14-20 hours weekly plus scheduled special events as needed with most hours occurring Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30am 3:30pm
• Availability to work nights and weekends on occasion for special events and home athletic games
• Professional attitude, demeanor and work ethic as well as confidentiality in daily work
• Excellent telephone and in-person communication skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and Point of Sale software experience preferred
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Goal oriented team player
• Understanding of unique Jesuit identity and school mission

About Saint Ignatius High School

Saint Ignatius High School, which opened its doors September 6, 1886, is a Jesuit college-preparatory school. The school enrolls more than 1,400 young men who hail from 92 cities in an 11-county region. Located in close proximity to downtown Cleveland in the vibrant and energetic Ohio City neighborhood, the school occupies 25 acres and includes 20 buildings and three athletic fields. The school has 114 faculty members, 89 percent of whom hold advanced degrees. Fifty-six percent have spent 10 years or more teaching at Saint Ignatius.
