About the role
Conduct participant-centered nutrition assessments using VENA. Identify/document nutrition risks and provide follow-up for high-risk participants. Assign and tailor WIC food packages. Provide individualized nutrition education, including breastfeeding support. Interpret growth and lab trends. Support participant goal-setting and make referrals to health/social services. Document all nutrition services in accordance with WIC standards. Assist with intake, phone support, anthropometrics, and blood work as needed. Adhere to State WIC and Noble policies; complete required competency training.
Requirements
- Certified Dietitian (CD) – Wisconsin, OR NDTR registered with CDR, preferred
- Ability to pass WIC Nutritionist competency assessment within 1 year
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 1+ year with a master’s/doctoral degree
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with participants, colleagues, and community partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and eligibility to operate a company vehicle
