Description and Requirements

The Business Analyst supports the business needs of the Operations team through data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and quality control activities. This role develops actionable insights, monitors operational performance, conducts internal audits, and partners across teams to drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and automated analytics solutions to monitor operational performance and productivity metrics.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for operational engagement and improvement.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, insights, and presentations for leadership discussions and decision-making.
  • C Conduct internal process and quality control audits to evaluate efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements that enhance standardization, quality, and performance.
  • Analyze staffing, workload, and capacity planning data to provide recommendations related to resource allocation, production volumes, inventory levels, and service level agreements.
  • Partner with Operations, Accounting, Training, and IT to align best practices and drive adoption.
  • Support data quality and integrity across systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Contribute to technology and AI initiatives by evaluating business requirements, conducting testing, implementation, and measuring performance outcomes.
  • Complete ad hoc analyses, reporting requests, and special projects that support operational and strategic business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying, validation, and analysis.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify meaningful trends, and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Experience with process audit, quality control, continuous improvement, and data governance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with initiative to improve reporting, processes, and efficiencies.
  • Comfort working with emerging technologies, AI tools, and evolving business processes.
  • Flexibility to accommodate business needs; limited travel may be required.
