About the role

Join the Cotton On Womenswear team as an Assistant Buyer and play a key role in shaping our product range. You’ll work closely with the Buyer to drive commercial outcomes, manage supplier relationships, and deliver on-trend, high-quality apparel for our global customer base.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in range planning, selection, and development of Womenswear product lines.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to inform buying decisions and optimise inventory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and managing orders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Merchandising, and Planning to align product strategies.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth within the Womenswear category.
• Support the Buyer in presenting ranges to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Assist with sample management, fit sessions, and product approvals.
• Contribute to seasonal trading strategies and promotional planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a buying, merchandising, or retail role, preferably within fashion/apparel.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends, particularly in Womenswear.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with retail management systems (e.g., SAP, JDA) is advantageous.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field are desirable.
