About the role
This position is on the 2nd Shift (2:45 pm – 11 pm) in the White Chemraz department at our Kulpsville, PA location. The role is part of the KV Union Job Family, Grade 6, and reports to a Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations as well as company safety policies and protocols.
- Set up and finish trim parts on appropriate equipment.
- Set up and operate large laser cutting machines and automated inscription machines.
- Load and unload ovens.
- Perform final inspection of parts using gauges, micrometers, and non-contact measurement tools.
- Follow all Statistical Process Control (SPC) procedures.
- Rework parts as necessary.
- Perform in-process, trim, and inspection of all parts as required (line pull).
- Record daily activities, including clock-offs and special projects, in the GT data collection system.
- Electronically perform SAP transactions such as labor and material usage accurately and timely.
- Pull flash, cut vents, and count parts.
- Rinse and bag parts as required.
- Transport work in process and finished goods within and between departments.
- Perform miscellaneous duties in the White Chemraz area as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform the job in compliance with the Company’s Quality Policy (ISO 9000).
- Ability to read and interpret prints and production drawings.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in all operations.
- Maintain annual QC certification.
- Demonstrated ability to independently interpret Company documents and specified requirements for standard job functions.
- This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). A U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, and workers granted refugee or asylum status in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in positions requiring frequent pushing, grasping, and repetitive movement.
- Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring pulling, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as eye protection, protective gloves, and hearing protection.
- Ability to work in alternating positions of sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
