Westminster, MD | Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 03:00pm-11:00pm

The Westminster Operations Center is a 1.5-million-square-foot facility that ships over 150 million books annually. The center is heavily automated, featuring over 12 miles of conveyor, a Goods to Person system, a Tilt Tray Sorter, and 100 pieces of powered industrial equipment.
About the role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and can adapt to the ever-changing needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to, maintain, and promote the safety policies of the company
- Perform maintenance duties such as work orders, preventative maintenance, and other projects assigned via the CMMS system
- Basic understanding of conveyor management systems and other key equipment for troubleshooting (PLC knowledge is desired but not required)
- Facilities maintenance including plumbing, fire systems, and HVAC
- Participate in training and certification programs to support professional growth
- Perform all other assigned duties
Requirements
- Prior experience in facility maintenance is desired but not required
- Proven skills in electrical and/or mechanical trades are helpful
- Additional experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, or welding is beneficial
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic PC skills required
- Physically capable of performing heavy lifting tasks
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (2nd shift)
Pay
Salary range: $41,600–$64,000 per year ($20–$31 per hour), dependent on candidate experience. Opportunities for salary increases with further experience and proven skillsets.
