About the role

We are looking for fluent Welsh speakers to join our growing network of freelance language contributors. In this role, you will help improve AI-powered speech and language technologies by completing a variety of Welsh language data collection and annotation tasks. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment. You will contribute to language datasets used to develop and improve speech recognition, natural language processing (NLP), and other artificial intelligence systems. Tasks may vary depending on project requirements and can be completed according to your availability.

Responsibilities

• Complete Welsh language data collection tasks.
• Record or review Welsh speech samples when required.
• Annotate, validate, or transcribe language data.
• Follow detailed project instructions and quality guidelines.
• Ensure submitted work meets accuracy and quality standards.
• Complete assigned freelance tasks within project deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of project materials.
• Collaborate with project coordinators when clarification is required.
• Provide consistent and high-quality language contributions.
• Support the improvement of AI language technologies.

Requirements

• Native or fluent Welsh language proficiency.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Able to manage tasks within agreed timelines.
• Previous language data collection or annotation experience is beneficial but not required.
