Wellsite Geologist

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced contract Wellsite Geologist to support well operations on the North Slope, Alaska for a 1-year assignment. This is a hybrid role combining remote work with on-site rotations.

The Wellsite Geologist will work closely with the primary asset geologist to execute well operations according to the asset geologist's design.

Responsibilities

• Communicate consistently with the Company asset geologist and provide timely updates on well activity.
• Maintain a reliable channel of communication between the asset geologist and the directional drilling and MWD personnel.
• Relay the asset geologist’s instructions clearly and promptly to drilling personnel.
• Execute geosteering of well operations and coordinate with MWD and directional drilling personnel.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience geosteering well operations.
• Hands-on experience with StarSteer software.
• Willingness and ability to work a rotation that may include 1–3 week periods on the North Slope alternating with remote work.
• Ability to work either a 12-hour day or 12-hour night shift.
• Supply your own suitable workstation for remote well operations, including an up-to-date computer, reliable high-speed internet, and two or more monitors.
