Responsibilities
- Create and lead enjoyable wellness exercises for residents in the Wellness Center.
- Help promote a healthy and active lifestyle for our residents.
- Conduct and create safe group and individual exercises with in strength, balance and movement on land and in the pool.
- Assists independent, assisted living and skilled nursing residents on mobility, balance, range of motion.
- Instructs on the correct use of all exercise equipment and provides support on and off equipment.
- Respects and observes residents’/members’ rights and privacy.
- Leads and organizes personal training sessions with Arcadia at Home members.
- Oversees the swimming pool and assists residents and members in and out of the pool safely.
- Obtains the proper release waivers and doctor's permission slips from residents.
- Charts resident and member wellness attendance, participation and progress.
- Performs the necessary pool maintenance duties such as water quality testing and vacuuming.
- Maintains the Wellness Center in a clean and organized condition.
- Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Manual.
- Ensures departmental compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience with seniors or fitness preferred.
- Certificate, Licenses, and Registrations: Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

$18.90 - $23.96, hourly
Schedule
Full-Time (Work 35 to 40 hours per week): Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
