Wellness Technician
Description
Supports the operations of the Genesis Occupational Health Wellness Program by performing the following duties: assists with on-site wellness events to complete biometric screenings and flu shot clinics. Specific competencies recommended include blood pressure and other vitals, measurements, immunization administration, phlebotomy, height, weight and circumference measurements.
Qualifications
- Field Of Study: Certification or license in medical field required (Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, LPN, P.T. Asst, etc.).
- Training Preferred: Basic Life Support.
- Experience: More than 1 year experience required.
Skills
- Will be conducting many blood draws, so applicant needs experience in Phlebotomy.

- Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization.
- Communications are of moderate difficulty and sensitivity.
- Contact with others may involve detailed & lengthy dialogues & exchanges of information.
- Requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills.
- Interactions involve dealing with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Guidance: The job requires the provision of occasional guidance and training to others.
- The job does not have formal or official supervisory responsibilities.

- Limited: Work requires limited responsibility for material resources.

Working Conditions
- Routine exposure to highly adverse environmental conditions including physical hazards, health and safety risks, and otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment.
- Personal risks require safety equipment or precautions to be followed closely.
- The time the employee may be exposed to these conditions is limited to 70% or less of the work day.
