Wellness Educator/Instructor

100% FTE, Mon - Fri 7:30a-4:00p; occasional early or late start times (e.g., 6:00a-2:30p or 9:30a-6:00p). Work location: UW Health Swedish American Hospital, 1401 E State St.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; preferred degree in a related healthcare field (e.g., exercise physiology, dietetics, nursing, or other pertinent health care field).

Requirements

• Licensed Dietitian, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or NETA – National Exercise Trainers Association Wellness Coaching Certification
• NETA, ACE, or ASFA certified group fitness instructor certification or RYT 200 certification from a Yoga Alliance accredited school
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification within 3 months of employment

Skills

• At least 2 years of teaching or coaching experience or equivalent in diet/nutrition or exercise (preferred)
• Experience with individual and group health risk evaluations or testing (preferred)
• Experience creating and introducing new plans with attention to detail, functionality, and outcome measurements (preferred)
