Wellness Coach
Job Summary
A Wellness Coach is needed to support students through one-on-one coaching, facilitate group coaching sessions, and collaborate with campus partners to promote overall well-being.
About the Role
This role involves facilitating individual and group wellness coaching sessions, developing and delivering wellness workshops, conducting basic health and wellness assessments, fostering wellness programming opportunities, and collaborating with campus groups to promote wellness initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate individual and group wellness coaching sessions.
- Create and deliver wellness workshops and presentations.
- Conduct basic health and wellness assessments and communicate results to participants.
- Foster wellness programming opportunities for unique student groups and populations.
- Work with campus groups and marketing staff to promote wellness initiatives.
- Knowledge and implementation of emergency action plan.
- Attend required training and monthly staff meetings.
- Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants, and guests.
- Perform other related duties to support the overall functioning of the department.
Requirements and Preferences
- Current full-time NC State student, demonstrated by enrollment in at least 12 undergraduate or 9 graduate credit hours.
- Environment: Both indoors and outdoors with potential exposure to weather conditions (heat, cold, light rain).
- Physical: Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending and reaching.
- Sensory: Potentially loud and busy work environment that requires strong communication and observation skills.
- Schedule: Flexibility in your availability is needed to potentially work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and breaks.
