About the role

The Wellness Center Ambassador at Hackensack Meridian Health serves as a welcoming host for patients visiting the Health and Wellness Center. This role involves providing a positive and tailored experience for patients, ensuring they have a seamless journey through the center.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all guests by greeting them promptly and courteously.
• Facilitate the patient's visit by directing them to necessary locations or investigating their needs for registration, check-in, or scheduling.
• Ensure the patient/visitor feels welcomed and supported throughout their visit.
• Answer telephone calls and facilitate calls according to organizational and departmental standards.
• Enforce access control policies and assist security with visitor situations.
• Handle routine inquiries and complaints, directing them to appropriate individuals.
• Conduct environmental observations and follow up to address issues in the area of coverage.
• Communicate effectively with the medical team and other departments as needed.
• Support clerical matters related to patient care and provide secretarial support as assigned.
• Schedule tests or appointments as needed or support the patient with digital self-service.
• Use digital solutions to guide the patient or support with check-in, registration, or scheduling.
• Provide support for receiving, mail, supplies, and restocking for all areas of the Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), or equivalent programs.
• One year of working experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, visible environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, problem-solving, and service recovery skills.
• Computer skills.
