Welding Technician

Job Description

This is a welding & maintenance position involved in many aspects of maintaining our penning systems, feed systems, water systems, ventilations system and concrete slat flooring in good repair.

• Stick or MIG welding to penning components, feeders, etc
• Repairs of feed systems, including feeders, feedlines and feed bins
• Curtain machine repair/replacement
• Repair/Replacement to concrete slat flooring.
• Repairs/Replacement of water system components

Requirements

• Welding skills - primarily stick & MIG with some TIG
• Able to safely operate power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, etc
• Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
• Continuous walking and standing; a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Comply with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
