Welding Services Operations Manager
About the role
The Operations Manager for D&Z Welding Services is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the welding services team. This role involves managing and supervising personnel, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and coordinating various tasks to achieve company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective strategic and senior customer relationships to support project or contract success.
- Provide leadership through establishing safety expectations and accountability.
- Review company objectives and estimates man-hour and skill requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to arrange equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Prepare cost estimates and evaluate contractor capabilities.
- Identify, attract, develop, and retain talent through engagement and performance management.
- Develop and sustain long-term business relationships with customers.
- Communicate effectively with impact, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
- 12+ years experience with welding activities in the nuclear and fossil power industries.
- 5+ years nuclear power experience with specific responsibility for ASME Section XI Repairs, Replacements, and Modifications.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of the welding industry and technical welding acumen.
- Strong commitment to safety and leadership in establishing safety expectations and accountability.
- Ability to interpret information, extract results, and develop reports.
- Ability to develop and execute business strategies to maintain and grow the welding services business.
- Effective communication skills to influence customer buying patterns and increase sales revenue growth.
- Physical and mental capacity to perform job functions, including visual acuity, stooping, reaching, manual dexterity, hearing, talking, concentration, and decision-making.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $124,000 - $186,000. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including experience and geographic location.
Schedule
This role requires regular attendance at the company's office or worksite.
