Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee robotic welding and fabrication systems.
- Load and unload trailer components or assemblies into robot fixtures.
- Monitor robot performance and part quality; make adjustments to programs or machine settings as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure welds and fabrications meet company and industry standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on robotic equipment such as checking sensors, cleaning nozzles, replacing tips, etc.
- Work closely with welders, engineers, and quality control to ensure product accuracy and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Document production output and report malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Able to work safely and follow all safety rules.
- Able to accurately read a tape measure.
- Able to read blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols.
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in robot operations.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, push, pull and/or carry materials.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.
- Must be able to work in indoor or outdoor environments.
- May be exposed to welding, grinding, paint fumes, and machinery noise.
