Welding Program Director

About the role

Creates and conducts technical training programs on the application, safety, and techniques of welding processes including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW. The portfolio of programs offered to students will be a mix of in-person and online delivery formats.

Responsibilities

• Develops and enhances comprehensive welding training programs aligned with industry standards and certifications (e.g., AWS).
• Delivers technical instruction on various welding methods, safety procedures, equipment setup, and metal fabrication techniques.
• Maintains and regularly updates training curriculum to reflect evolving industry practices and technologies.
• Ensures availability and functionality of welding lab equipment, safety gear, and training materials.
• Leads with a focus on safety compliance, weld quality, and workforce readiness.
• Evaluates student progress using exams, hands-on assessments, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical training experience in welding.
• AWS Certification (CWI Or CWE) Preferred But Not Required.
• At least 5 years of practical field experience in welding, fabrication, or metalworking.
• Strong instructional, communication, and presentation skills.
• Hightly organized with strong documentation and reporting skills.
