Responsibilities

  • Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.
  • Lay out and fabricate new and replacement piping systems, install valves, and related piping equipment.
  • Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
  • Inspect welds and other workpieces using precision measuring instruments.
  • Operate various welding and cutting equipment, including electric, gas, and arc welding machines.
  • Communicate with team members to develop short- and long-range planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Possess a high school degree or an approved GED.
  • One to two years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in industrial pipe fitting and pipe welding and repairs.
  • Must be certified in B31.1 Pipe Welding Code and 6-G in stainless steel.

Qualifications

  • Ability to observe details at close range.
  • Control precision and manual dexterity.
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and step stools.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.
  • Wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Communicate effectively and express information clearly.
  • Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.

Skills

  • Blueprint reading.
  • Isometric diagram interpretation.
  • Working knowledge of B31.1 Pipe Welding Code and 6-G in stainless steel.
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Layout and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Weld components in various positions.
  • Inspect and dress metal parts.
  • Identify required equipment and welding methods.
  • Operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.

Pay

$20-$37.78 per hour.

Schedule

4 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
