Welding Machine Repair - Electrical (Semi-Skilled)

About the role

We are looking for a Welding Machine Repair - Electrical candidate to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and operate various complex electronic welding equipment and robotic welding and plasma systems. You will discuss technical problems with Design to make suggestions and necessary circuit changes to enhance system operation. Work conditions may include confined spaces, heights/JLG, and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate complex electronic welding equipment and robotic welding/plasma systems
• Operate electronic welding equipment
• Collaborate with Design to suggest and implement circuit changes for improved system operation

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or 2+ years of related technical experience
• 1–5 years of electrical experience, electrical maintenance experience, military, or manufacturing experience

Qualifications

• Completion of specialized school in the electronic field beyond high school or 3 years of work experience in the electrical field (preferred)
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog, digital, and logic circuits used in electronic welding equipment
• Familiarity with repair of orbital welding equipment (e.g., AMI/Liburdi)
• Familiarity with line voltages (e.g., 120V, 240V, and 480V systems)
• Ability to use test equipment such as multimeters
• Ability to distinguish between colors for job performance
