Welding Instructor w/Potential for Wood Shop

About the role

The Welding Instructor position at Rankin ISD is seeking an experienced professional to teach welding and potentially wood shop classes. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, providing instruction, and assessing student progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement welding and wood shop curricula
• Provide instruction in welding and wood shop techniques
• Absorb and adapt to new technologies and teaching methods
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Maintain classroom and lab safety standards
• Collaborate with other educators and staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Texas teaching certificate in Building Trades - Secondary
• Experience teaching welding and/or wood shop
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry-standard welding and wood shop practices
• Experience with relevant software and tools
• Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using educational technology

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule is flexible but includes standard school hours.
