About the role
This position involves organizing and delivering class syllabi and objectives in a clear, concise manner; maintaining an organized and safe lab; ensuring training aids, tools, and equipment are maintained and prepared for use in the classroom and labs; keeping accurate records of student performance and making the timely submission of academic records; providing students with timely feedback.Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum of 4-5 years of technical experience and/or an Associate's degree, preferred
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required for most positions
- A strong background in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) with a thorough understanding of GTAW principles and practices, along with hands-on experience in various welding applications
- Proficient in machine set-up, including proper gas configuration, and capable of welding in all positions with E6010
- Expertise in welding non-ferrous metals, such as stainless steel and aluminum, is essential
- Comfortable working with a range of plate thicknesses- from 3/8" down to 18 gauge- and able to demonstrate open root welding techniques on plate
- Must be able to pass a D1.1 Carbon steel plate test in 3 G position with E7018
- Proficiency in cutting with both an oxygen/acetylene torch and a handheld plasma cutting machine
- Strong practical skills in a shop environment
- Knowledge of AWS basic welding symbol interpretation
- Punctuality is essential; instructors must arrive 15 minutes prior to and remain 15 minutes after class time
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills
- Receptive to guidance and direction from the Program Director
