Welding Inspector

About the role

This will be full-time, seasonal opportunity. We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Welding Inspector to join our dynamic team in Peoria, IL. In this role, you'll enjoy working in the field while collaborating with a diverse team to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Review and interpret welding procedures, codes, and standards
• Identify and address welding defects
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and contractors while delivering excellent work
• Ensure the integrity and safety of natural gas distribution projects through thorough inspections and quality assurance processes

Required Qualifications

• Certification such as CWI or CPWI is required
• Prior welding experience in gas pipeline construction or maintenance is essential
• Strong field experience and a solid understanding of welding practices in utility environments
• Enjoys working in the field and solving challenges in real-time
• Possession of a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pay

This position pays between $34 and $38 hourly and is a non-exempt position.
