Welding Adjunct Faculty

About the role

Adjunct Faculty appointments are located on Parkland College's Campus in Champaign, Illinois and have a salary range of $1,406.00 - 1,586.00 per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach part-time, advise and mentor students.
• Available for student advising/mentoring.
• Maintains regular office hours to ensure availability for student consultation; provides assistance to students in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate scholastic records of students; submits required reports on student progress according to published deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the department chair.

Requirements

• 2000 hours in the welding/ manufacturing industry and knowledge of GMAW in the 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G positions.
• Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
• Maintains all professional credentials required to teach in area of discipline.

Qualifications

If hired, certified official transcript is required. Prospective new hires will successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting. The background check review includes, but is not limited to, exclusionary offenses per the Illinois School Code and Title IV of the Higher Education Act.
