Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Weld Operator in Sauk Rapids, MN. This role involves operating various welding machines, including hand welding, TIG welding, and orbital welding of stainless steel and other high-purity materials.

Responsibilities

• Run various welding machines, including hand welding, TIG welding, and orbital welding of stainless steel and high-purity materials.
• Execute all Standard Operating Procedures related to manufacturing duties.
• Study prints, drawings, and specifications to complete finished welds and lay out tasks using specialized computer welding equipment.
• Process and inspect work in accordance with prints, maintaining quality and quantity performance levels.
• Perform a sequence of operations while consistently meeting quality standards.
• Demonstrate basic PC skills for manufacturing tasks.
• Work in a high-purity clean room environment.
• Handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain safety awareness.
• Use approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
• Read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents.
• Perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with supervisors, leads, and peers.
• Recognize deviations from accepted practices.
• Apply a basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of manufacturing or related work experience (semiconductor industry preferred).
• Commitment to quality and a customer-focused mindset.
• Successful completion of a 2-year professional trade program in Welding Technology or equivalent, or currently enrolled in such a program.
• Basic math, blueprint reading, and weld-to-print skills.
• 3+ years of work experience performing TIG welding of stainless steel, or less experience with a Welding Technology degree (or currently enrolled in a Welding Technology Degree program).

Pay

For candidates based in Minnesota: The pay range is $19.09 – $32.45 hourly (non-exempt), plus a 15% shift differential. Pay is determined by role, level, location, and additional factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale may change based on business needs.
