About the role
Accelevation builds the physical infrastructure that powers advanced technologies. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with little to no prior welding experience who want to start a welding career. The Welder-Trainee program is a four-week, hands-on training course led by a dedicated Accelevation School of Welding instructor.
Responsibilities
- Show up on time and ready to learn each day
- Participate in the training exercises with an open mind and willingness to learn
- Perform welding exercises as explained by the School of Welding Instructor
- Be open to coaching and feedback from the School of Welding Instructor
- Conduct your learning and work in a safe manner each day
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimal to no welding experience required
- A drive to learn the trade of welding and create a career as a welder
- Strong cognitive and clear communication skills emphasizing attention to detail
- Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised while prioritizing tasks

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent sitting
- Occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and very loud noise levels requiring hearing protection
