Welder- Trailer manufacturing

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
  • Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools.
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
  • Consistently meets high quality and control standards.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Able to work safely and follow all safety rules
  • Able to accurately read a tape measure
  • Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding
  • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat or overhead.
  • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
  • Must be able to see details at close range.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop.

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $18 / hour - $20 / hour
