Duties/Responsibilities
- Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
- Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Consistently meets high quality and control standards.
- Works safely at all times.
- Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Able to work safely and follow all safety rules
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat or overhead.
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $18 / hour - $20 / hour
