Welder TN-1st Shift

About the role

This position reports to the Welding Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. The Welder performs duties associated with all areas of welding parts for production.

Responsibilities

• Pull and weld parts to print or specifications.
• Label products correctly.
• Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
• Perform any additional duties that may be assigned and those logically inherent to the position.

Requirements

• MIG welding experience preferred; semi‑automatic MIG welding a plus.
• One‑year on‑the‑job experience or welding classes (trade school) desired.
• Pass the JOST Welder Qualification Test.
• Ability to work and communicate accurately and factually as an effective team member with fellow employees, leadmen, and supervision.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety, and JOST company policies and procedures.
• Physical requirements: work performed 100% in a production plant; regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, twist; occasionally stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects of 50 lb or less with or without assistance.
