Responsibilities
- Rebuild major components — including engines, transmissions, pumps, cylinders, motors, and electrical systems — to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose causes of failure and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Safely and properly operate torches, presses, pullers, winches, jacks, lifts, and other mechanical devices within their rated capacities.
- Use appropriate tools for each repair and demonstrate proficiency in their proper use.
- Apply advanced diagnostic tools such as multimeters, computers, gauges, probes, scopes, calipers, and other measurement instruments.
- Direct, mentor, and take responsibility for “B” and “C” Mechanics assisting with repair work.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, outside dealers, and technicians regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Extensive prior mechanical experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability.
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
